We do allow guests to bring their own wine and our corkage fee is $25 per bottle.
• A gratuity of 20% is automatically applied to parties of 8 or more.


To-Go Orders

To-go ordering is only available when the restaurant is not currently experiencing a wait.
• Please note, we do add a 10% sustainability fee to all of our to-go orders in an effort to be as environmentally conscious with our packaging as possible.

special diets

At Down Island, we strive to be inclusive to all and welcome the opportunity to take care of you as if you were dining in our own home! One of our owners, Stefani, is a registered and licensed dietitian who has extensive experience working with special diets and various food allergies/sensitivities. She knows firsthand how frustrating it can be to have limited menu options when dining out, or to not have your requests/needs taken seriously! Our menu features from-scratch cooking, so many dishes can be modified to fit your dietary needs by simply swapping out or omitting ingredients. For those with more complex or unique dietary restrictions, we please ask that you call the restaurant ahead of time to speak with Stefani or one of our chefs so that we can properly prepare for your visit.

Please note: we are not a certified gluten-free facility and do not currently comply with Jewish dietary laws (kashrut/kosher).

I got one item for takeout tonight, the dairy free tuna nachos, and they were amazing. A real treat after being dairy and cheese free for almost a year. I opened the box to look at them on 98 and my husband and I started eating them at the red light.
